Town Hall (the Mayor's Office)

The romantic (historicist) style building of the present-day City Hall of Veszprém was built in 1857 originally as an ecclesiastical bank. After some time it began to function as a District Office, then it was neglected for a long time before it was renovated. Finally the Major's Office moved into its walls only in 1990.

The former Grand Seminary (in Hungarian "Nagyszeminárium", today Várfok College or dormitory) was a theological college, it is located in the heart of the Castle Quarter of Veszprém. The building was originally designed by the famous Jakab Fellner (like for example the Archbishop's Palace) and built between 1873-1875. But after the many modifications and reconstructions during the course of time the original style is virtually lost. Today only the red sandstone late neoclassical baroque (Zopf) style gate can be seen in its original form.
